Hun, Libya, is an oasis town in the northern Fezzan region of southwest Libya. The town is the capital of the Jufra District. Hun is about halfway between Sabha and the Mediterranean coast in the Sahara Desert. The modern city of Hun is 150 years old.

Libyan Civil War Labour Day Wheelus Air Base Martyr's Day Liberation Day Gaddafi's Jamahiriya Independence Day 1) The Jowely of the desert- *The Old City of ghadames* is not as heavily populated by tourists as are other ancient sites in North Africa and southern Europe.
2) Leptis Magna is the largest Roman city in Libya, and its ruins are some of the most complete and best preserved in the Mediterranean, providing Libya's biggest tourist attraction. 3) Ophelas- the general who occupied the city in Ptolemy I's name, ruled the city almost independently until his death, when Ptolemy's son-in-law Magas received governorship of the territory. Hun itself is a historical location, and just looking around can be our activity. Hun has a history of several different settlements, each being built to replace an earlier village swallowed up by the desert, which explains why it is called "El-Huwailah" the migrating town.
We will be dining in Athar Restaurant on the day we are in Libya. This place is known for its great food and service to its customers.
